Tutoring Services and Experience
At Sylvan Rosedale, your child’s instruction will be individual; his/her academic program will be designed to his/her current abilities based on evaluative assessments. We’ll establish where your child’s skill strengths and areas for improvement lay, then we’ll design an academic prescription based directly on his/her specific learning needs. We have a motivational strategy integrated into our teaching methods and learning expectations, and we hold progress updates with our parents every 12 hours of instruction. With your signed permission, we’ll be able to begin working with your child’s school teachers in order to build a network of support for him/her and work toward your family’s goals. We believe that connections to the Ontario Curriculum are essential and paramount in our efforts to help our students improve and reach their goals.
Our hourly tuition fees are from $42-$55 (depending on payment option and academic plan), and we have a variety of investment options including a payment plan for all Sylvan programs (see attachment for details). Our hours of instruction are Monday-Friday 4 - 7 and Saturday 9-2. We’ll organize a personal timetable, based on a minimum of 2 hours per week, that suits your academic priorities whilst making sure enough time is devoted to any weekly activities your family may have.
